Catcher in the Rye (Chapter 1)

Several years ago, I taught a Reading & Discussion class at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in South Korea. Well, I experimented with a variety of American and English literature, one of which was the Catcher in the Rye novel by J. D. Salinger. This book proved to be a good choice because the use of English in it is clearly expressed and is quite accessible for high intermediate to advanced level fluency of those learning English as a Second/Foreign Language.

Well, as an accompaniment to the course, I created audio versions of the book and uploaded them to YouTube. After some time, YouTube took them down, and then in 2023, my computer crashed, so I lost most of them. Nevertheless, a few survived, and this one is from the opening chapter of the book.
